Darryl Monroe Will Be Keynote Speaker At Community Education Breakfast
Darryl Monroe, a 1990 Lawrence High School graduate and current New York Yankees scout, will be the keynote speaker of the 17th annual Lawrence Schools Foundation Community Education Breakfast, Friday, September 7 from 7:30-9 a.m.
The breakfast event, which takes place at the Lawrence DoubleTree by Hilton, provides an opportunity for local businesses and community members to demonstrate their support for public education. Sponsorship opportunities and tickets are available online or by calling the Foundation at 785-330-1941 by August 31.
The breakfast will also feature an address from new school superintendent Dr. Anthony Lewis, recognition of student champions and a performance by a group of pre-K students.
