Foundation Hands Out Scholarships At Free State; LHS Night Is May 9

Lawrence Schools Foundation Hands Out 18 Scholarships at Free State High School
Eighteen scholarships managed by the Lawrence Schools Foundation were awarded to seniors at Free State High School as part of the school’s Senior Recognition Ceremony Monday night.
In all, 15 students received the 18 scholarships worth more than $18,000 to help offset their college expenses. Scholarships range from $500 to a $2,500 renewable award. Among the new scholarships offered to the students this year were the Chestnut STEM, Lawrence Medical Managers, Perfect Test Score and Susan Satriano Foundation scholarships.
The Foundation will be a part of Lawrence High School’s Senior Recognition Ceremony Tuesday, May 9. That night 44 scholarships will be presented to senior Lions.
Scholarships housed at the Foundation and distributed to seniors will total more than $63,000 through 62 offerings this year.
