Ovation! District-Wide Talent Show Set For KU Lied Center, Sunday, January 22

The Lawrence Schools Foundation and Lied Center of Kansas are proud to announce the very first district-wide talent show for middle and high school students at the Lied Center, Sunday, January 22 at 7:30 p.m.

Ovation! will benefit the Lawrence Schools Foundation and showcase the amazing talents of USD 497 students. Held on the main stage of the Lied Center with full production, the community will come together to celebrate all of the immense talent among Lawrence youth.

The Lawrence Schools Foundation provides students and teachers with enrichment experiences, scholarships, teacher recognition, classroom support, innovative teaching grants and partnerships with community organizations and businesses through their LEAP programs.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Lied Center on an event that allows us to connect with and showcase talented students throughout the district,” said Dena Johnston, executive director of the Lawrence Schools Foundation. “It is going to be a fantastic must-see show.”

Tickets are available online, at the Lied Center Ticket Office on weekdays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., or via phone at 785-864-2787.

Brian Hanni, the Voice of the Jayhawks, will serve as the master of ceremonies.
