Did you know Multitasking is a myth? Research shows that when you’re doing two things at once, your brain is actually just switching between tasks very rapidly. Every additional task you do while driving detracts from your ability to drive well and increases your chances of having a collision? Want more facts about teen driving? Come by the SAFE table during lunch today to get more information about the program, free stuff & a chance to win a LHS Hoodie or t-shirt for pledging to always wear your seatbelt. See you soon!!!
Make sure to sign up for the blood drive at the stuco lunch table for the rest of the week and Monday through Wednesday next week. The drive will be next Thursday, March 5. If you’re 16 then you need a parent permission form which you can pick up at the stuco table at lunch. 17 and up can simply sign up for a time.
Enrollment forms are due Friday. If you have not pushed submit and printed your class choices, do it today. Return signed forms to Ms. Bradfield in room 101.
Track practice will start Monday March 2 in the weight room at 3:30. Be ready to work out.
AVID Seniors are back at it again with another Service Learning Project. We are partnering with the Lawrence Lions Club. Starting March 2 we will be collecting gently used prescription eyeglasses, and prescription sunglasses to send overseas to third world countries. Make sure that you place a piece of tape on the glasses letting us know the prescription, so that it will be easier to give them out. Remember, if you don't need them anymore, someone else does. Drop-off locations are: Mr. Miles Rm. 210, Mrs. Henry Rm. 206, Student Services Rm. 101, Ms. Oswald Mod 4, and in the Library.
Remember to take advantage of after school tutoring in the Library classroom for 1 hour with certified teachers.
YOU HAVE THE P.O.W.E.R. to BE GREAT! IT’S A GREAT DAY TO BE A LION!!
