    Good morning LHS!

    Reminder if you signed up to take the ASVAB test it will be this Wednesday March 20th at 8:00a.m. in the Black Box Theater.  We still have a few spots available for interested students. See Mrs. Bradfield in Students Services to get Signed up.  Thank you!

    College Horizons is a non-profit organization that supports the higher education of Native American students by providing college admission workshops to American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian students/participants from across the nation. Two programs are offered in the summer for current 10th-11th grade high school students. The deadline to apply is at the end of March. If you are interested in applying for the summer program, please see Mrs. Antoine in room 214.

    Interested in joining the Lawrence High Cheer and Pom squads?!  Tryouts are coming up!!!

    Next week we will have a pre-tryout Cheer Clinic for Freshmen and new participants on Monday, March 25th 6-8 pm in the Main Gym

    Clinics for ALL Cheer and Pom participants will be Tuesday, March 26th and Wednesday, March 27th 6-8 pm in the Main Gym

    Tryouts will be Thursday, March 28th 4-8pm Main Gym.  Get the tryout Packets available in the Athletic Office.

    FYI Club will be meeting this Wednesday, March 20 at 8:00 am in the Library Classroom. Come for delicious breakfast, games, and visioning discussion for next year. All are welcome to attend!

    HALO club will meet this Wed 2:35-3:35pm in Library classroom.

    The Yoga and Mindfulness club will meet right after school at the Library classroom. We have mats for everyone. See you then!

    Good morning LHS!

    In anticipation of moving on to the second round of the boy’s state basketball tournament, a spirit bus for Friday’s game in Wichita is being offered. The cost to go to the game is $10 which covers transportation and your tournament ticket. A signed permission slip and the $10 must be submitted to the Finance Office by NOON on Thursday. If you ride the bus to the game you must ride the bus back home. The bus will load at the Chesty entrance at 4:30pm and you’ll return approximately 1:00am.  A minimum of 30 fans must sign up or the bus will be canceled, with a maximum of 40 allowed. An LHS Student ID is required to board the bus. Forms are available in the Athletic Office.

    Can We Talk will meet tomorrow morning at 8 AM in the Black box. Free State will be joining us.  Hope you can come!

    Good morning LHS!

    Happy birthday to our dear Roxie!! She turns 10 years old today!!  Give her an extra hug today!!

    Jostens will be here Tuesday, March 5 during lunch to hand out Graduation Announcements.

    Boys Tennis will meet in room 107 Mr. Platt’s room.  Those that have access to indoor courts go hit there on your own.  Meeting will be about end around 4:20.

    Today is the last day to sign up for track and boys Tennis is Wednesday, March 20th.

    Thank you for all who have nominated staff for meeting ROAR expectations!  Last week’s winner was Shelley Vann! She was nominated for meeting the school-wide expectations of Respect, Our Best Effort, Academic Achievement, and Responsibility.

    Athletes: If you are still planning on coming out for one of our non-cut sports the last day to join is as follows: Girls Swim/Dive – this Friday, Track & Field – Monday, Boys Tennis – Wednesday, March 20th. All other spring sports are tryout sports.

    If you are going to try out for boy’s golf, please stay in touch with Coach Rampy. He will let you know when the course will be open and we can hold tryouts.

    Students that are participating in the meeting with Dr. Lewis today should have green passes and need to report to the library at 9:30.

    Boys going out for tennis should meet Coach Marshall in room #107 at 3:30pm to check in.

     

    Track practice begins today in the weight room at 3:30pm. Be ready to practice.

    Good morning LHS!

    The NAEP makeup session will still be today at 12:30. Seniors who are taking the test should eat 1st or 2nd lunch and report to the library by 12:30.

    REMINDER: IPS Fundraising Bowling tournament is tomorrow from 2:00-4:00 PM at Royal Crest Lanes.  You may turn in entry forms and money at lunch today or to room #220.
