    Career Cruising



    What should we do and when should we do it??
    It is not too soon to begin making plans to ensure future success.
     
     
     
    Freshman/Sophomore Year
    -Map out your four year plan in www.careercruising.com 
    - Enroll in challenging courses.
    - Explore classes in a variety of areas.
    - Get to know your counselors and division principals. They can provide you with a lot of help if you let them.
    - Complete core requirements so you can have more choices as a senior.
    - Log Volunteer Hours

    Junior Year
    - Inform your counselor if you are considering athletics in college.
    - Attend the college fair and consider some college visits.
    - Explore career pathways if you opt to enter the work force after graduation.
    - Take the ACT or SAT exams on one of the spring dates.
    - We have ACT and SAT fee waivers available to students who are eligible for free/reduced lunch.
    - Visit with college representatives that visit the high schools during lunch or on late start days-listen to announcements.
    - Log volunteer hours!
    -Explore career and college options in career cruising
    -Begin College Visits

    Senior Year
    -Create Parchment account visit Parchment.com
    - Attend the college fair and take college visits
    - Re-take the ACT/SAT, if necessary
    - File the FASFA during October 
    - Complete college applications
    - Visit with college representatives that visit the high schools during lunch or on late start days-listen to announcements.
    - Log volunteer hours!
    -Search scholarships in career cruising
