Board Meetings
All regular Lawrence Board of Education meetings will begin at 6:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, unless otherwise noted.
Notable exceptions to the board meeting schedule include December and March. Due to winter break, the school board meets only once in December—on the second Monday. Due to spring break, the board meets only once in March—on the fourth Monday.

Board Meeting Summaries are detailed summaries of each Lawrence Board of Education meeting and can be found on the district's School Board News webpage. Previous livestreams/broadcasts of board meetings are also archived and published on the Lawrence Public Schools YouTube channel.
Participating in Board Meetings
Those wishing to speak about policy-related matters in the Public Comment section of a Board of Education meeting must sign up by noon the day of the meeting by emailing PublicComment@usd497.org.
School board meetings are open to the public and will be held in the Boardroom at the district's Educational Support Center (ESC), 110 McDonald Drive, Lawrence, KS 66044. For those unable to attend in-person, board meetings are available to watch live on the district's YouTube channel and on LPS TV 26 (available on Midco channel 26 with a cable box).
