What is Parents as Teachers?
Parents as Teachers is a FUN and FREE early childhood education program available to anyone who is pregnant or has a child under the age of 3 and lives within the USD 497 school district.
It is designed to give children the best possible start in life and to prepare them for school success by supporting parents in their role as their children's first and most influential teachers.
The Lawrence Parents as Teachers is an Affiliate program of the Parents as Teachers National Center, which uses an evidence-based curriculum infused with the most current neuroscience research to support child development and parent education.
