Lawrence Public Schools sincerely appreciates the care and support of hundreds of parent and community volunteers.

Please contact your child's school about volunteer opportunities.

Other options include volunteering though one of our community partnerships with the Lawrence Schools Foundation's Lawrence Education Achievement Partners (LEAP) program, Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters of Douglas County, or Junior Achievement.

 

 

Our Friends of Education

Lawrence Public Schools annually recognizes outstanding school volunteers during American Education Week, with each school and the district selecting our Friends of Education. The Friend of Education Award recognizes community members whose generosity, leadership, and service help ensure that Lawrence learners are supported, engaged, and prepared for success. Our Friends represent all the wonderful school volunteers who support our students, teachers, and staff throughout the school year.

To all of our Friends of Education, both past and present, we are truly grateful for your contributions to our neighborhood schools and for your unwavering support of our teachers, our students, and their success. We are incredibly fortunate to share this Lawrence community with you, and we are honored to call you our friend. Thank you, always.
