Providing Safe & Reliable Busing
Lawrence Public Schools has partnered with Durham School Services as our new transportation provider for the 2026–27 school year.
Through this partnership, families can expect a continued focus on student safety, reliable service, and enhanced communication. Below, you will find information about submitting transportation requests and accessing bus stop locations, bus route information, and pickup and drop-off times.
Request Transportation
2026–27 Transportation Registration is open from July 8 through July 24. Follow the instructions below to submit a transportation request before July 24.
Families wanting transportation for their student should submit a transportation request for review annually. These requests will be reviewed in accordance with district transportation guidelines and available capacity. Families must use the My Ride K-12 app to submit a transportation request.
Students will be routed based on registrations received during this timeframe. Completing registration by the deadline will help ensure transportation services are available on the first day of school.
How to Submit a Transportation Request
Step 1: Download My Ride K-12 & Register
Please follow the link below to visit My Ride K-12 and register. To sign up, families may use the My Ride K-12 web portal or download the My Ride K-12 mobile app.
Step 2: Add Your District & Student(s) to Your My Ride K-12 Account
Once registered, log in to My Ride K-12 and then add your school district (Lawrence Unified School District 497) and your student (student ID information is in your Powerschool account).
Important: Setting up your My Ride K-12 account does not automatically request transportation. After adding your student(s), you will need to complete the transportation request form.
Step 3: Complete Your Transportation Request Form
After your My Ride K-12 account is set up and your district and student(s) have been added, complete the transportation request form inside your account (see screenshot below).
