Teamwork Award

Dr. Rick Doll Teamwork Award

The Dr. Rick Doll Teamwork Award honors outstanding accomplishments by successful school teams whose teamwork strengthens academic achievement and empowers students.

Recognizing that learning for all students will only be accomplished when teams of teachers, support staff, and administrators work together and take responsibility for all students, the Dr. Rick Doll Teamwork Award honors and rewards outstanding accomplishments by successful teams in Lawrence Public Schools that foster cooperation, collaboration, and open communication in order to raise the achievement of all students, while closing achievement gaps. The teams, departments, or groups who receive the Teamwork Award, work together with remarkable coordination and support that positively impacts student outcomes.

LEAP partner, Truity Credit Union, presents $1,000 to the winning team to further school teamwork activities, as determined by the winning team in cooperation with the school principal/team supervisor. The Teamwork Award was created by former Superintendent Dr. Rick Doll and named in his honor by USD 497 and Truity upon his retirement.

*Only school principals and department leaders may nominate teams for this award.
