Welcome to Kindergarten!
Kindergarten is an exciting milestone for every child. We would love to welcome you and your child to Kindergarten this year in Lawrence Public Schools!
To enroll for Kindergarten in Lawrence Public Schools, children must be 5 years old by August 31 of the year they start school. We offer free, full-day Kindergarten at all of our elementary schools.

Kindergarten Orientation
Kindergarten Orientation 2026 is Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
Please enroll your child before April 22 to attend Kindergarten Orientation.
Eligibility
Children who turn 5 years old by August 31, 2026 are eligible to attend Kindergarten.
How to Enroll
Step 1: Complete New Student Enrollment to enroll your child for the 2026-2027 school year.
Step 2: Bring the required documents to your student's school to finish the enrollment process.
