Southwest Middle School

The SW School Garden Project- “Growing a Better Future” is now embarking on its 9th season.  We have two on-site fenced vegetable production areas, a perennial flower/herb garden, a small orchard/berry area, and a composting facility, which all serve as outdoor living classrooms.  We provide produce to our school and surrounding community through our school cafeteria, the Clinton Parkway Farmer’s Market, and Clinton Parkway Hy-Vee, as well as selling produce to the MERC Deli and other local restaurants, and donating excess produce to Heath Care Access and Just Foods.
