Lawrence Adult Education Center graduate Genevieve Sloan took to the podium to speak to her peers in the Adult Education Class of 2026, reflecting on the decision that changed her path: "If I had not taken a chance and enrolled in this program, I would not be standing before you today."

Lawrence High School's Class of 2026 gathered together to celebrate the educational milestone of earning their high school diploma.

With those words, Superintendent Dr. Jeanice Kerr Swift set the tone for a memorable evening at Allen Fieldhouse as Lawrence Free State High School celebrated its Class of 2026.

Just before they take their final steps as high schoolers, seniors returned to Woodlawn Elementary for a Riverhawk reunion.

Today, Lawrence Public Schools celebrated the Project SEARCH Class of 2026, who each exemplified the qualities the program is about: independence, responsibility, problem-solving, communication, and confidence.

Adversity. Change. Uncertainty. No matter the obstacle or challenge that was thrown at them, the Community Transition program's Class of 2026 kept showing up, trying, learning, and growing into the remarkable people they have become.

As the sun sets on their high school journeys, former Eagles made one final trip down Sunset Boulevard at this year's Sunset Hill Elementary Grad Walk.

A few old friends returned to Deerfield Elementary one last time to take a trip down memory lane, and the school's hallways, at this year's Deerfield Grad Walk.
