Hello! My name is Jessica Minor and I am the Library Media Specialist at Cordley Elementary. I began my teaching career with Lawrence Public Schools in 2005. I have taught 4th grade, 5th grade, and kindergarten, but nothing beats the library! I enjoy getting to know all the students at Cordley and creating relationships with them over books and technology. I am committed to making sure all students feel comfortable in the library and develop a love of life-long learning. 

My work entails teaching each class once a week, managing the library, and providing technical assistance to teachers and students. In addition, I host a Hogwarts Lunch twice a week in the library where students are invited to the library for lunch and a Harry Potter read aloud. On Thursday afternoons you can find me sponsoring a Girls Who Code club at Cordley for 3rd - 5th graders. 

When I am not at school I like to spend my time reading, cooking, crafting, and kayaking. I also enjoy collecting bookmarks and vinyl records. But you are more likely to find me driving my three kids around to their various activities!
