Although born and raised in Topeka, I am proud to call Lawrence my home. I graduated from Washburn University with a degree in Spanish and History. My family consists of my husband, Grant, and our son, Max. We also have a cat.
I have been involved in public education since 2015. I started as a Title 1 para at Kennedy Elementary School before getting my Master of Arts in Teaching from Kansas State University. I have also taught 2nd grade in another district. I love teaching reading especially and also love to learn. Right now, I am learning American Sign Language. My goal is to make every student feel safe and loved.
I enjoy painting, taking long walks, and drinking coffee.
