Hello! I am so excited about starting my first year here at Woodlawn. As a life-long Lawrence resident (and fellow Lawrence Public School parent), I am passionate about seeing our community succeed.
Family involvement has a direct positive impact on children's learning success and is one of the proven predictors of academic achievement. Family support can also lead to a lifelong passion for learning. We recognize that there are many barriers that families face that can make it feel impossible to engage in their student's academic efforts. As the Parent Involvement Facilitator, I have the opportunity to support and resource families with the things their students need to be successful. Whether your student needs a new winter coat, snacks to take home on weekends, help filling out necessary documentation, or navigating a family crisis, I am here to help.
