Degrees and Certifications:

I graduate from the University of Kansas in 2009 with a b.s. in Environmental Studies. In 2014 I received my teaching credentials from the University of Northern Colorado.

Mr. Sam Gleeson

I was born and raised in Lawrence and loved getting to attend school at KU. After college, I wanted to move closer to the mountains, so I relocated to Fort Collins, Colorado. While I was living there, I decided to pursue teaching and totally fell in love with it. I worked for four years at Poudre High School, then was the curriculum design team leader for a new project based school in Fort Collins called Compass Community Collaborative School, where I taught for another four years. Despite loving the mountains, my wife and I decided that we really missed our hometown and decided to move back to Lawrence. I still love climbing, backpacking, snowboarding and all the things that are fun in the mountains, but I also love playing games, hanging out with our dogs, and playing kickball in the summers and soccer in the winter.

This year I am teaching Biology, Plant Science, and Freshmen AVID.

All class work will be found by students on Google Classroom. Synced assignments will be visible to parents on Powerschool.
