I am a born and raised Lawrence native! I attended Schwegler Elementary, West Junior High (now West Middle School), and I graduated from Free State High School. I went on to continue my education at Washburn University, earning my Bachelors' in Elementary Education Degree with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education and an emphasis in Special Education Birth through Third Grade. I have extensive literacy training and I have received my ESOL endorsement with training from Kansas State University. I started out my teaching career in 2008 and have taught 4th grade, a 3/4 combination class, 2nd grade, 1st grade and now I am currently teaching Kindergarten at Deerfield Elementary.
