USD 497 COVID-19 Dashboard
The COVID-19 Dashboard provides graphical reporting to the public for transparency purposes to track the impact of the pandemic in our schools. On the right side of the screen, use the filter to view data by school level or individual school or to adjust the date range. Use the play button to view the graph adjustments over time.
Percent Testing Positive for COVID-19
In the charts below, the calculation for percentages is based on the number of students testing positive for COVID-19 divided by the number of students in the hybrid learning model. While students learning remotely attend activities on campus, the district has included them in the positive cases but excluded them from the denominator. As you view each school's data, keep in mind that the size of the school affects the percentages. For example, a school with 900 hybrid students and 9 students testing positive would be equivalent to a school with 200 students and 2 students testing positive.
The staff percentage calculation is based on all staff working on a school campus who have tested positive, divided by the number of staff assigned to the building.
The calculation for student average daily attendance accounts only for students in the hybrid learning model in the current school year. Although those students attend in-person only 1 or 2 days per week, all attendance days for the week are used in the calculation. Since attendance looks different this year when compared to last year, the district has attempted to make this comparison as similar as possible.
Staff attendance is calculated by dividing the number of staff absences by the number of staff assigned to the building. When a staff member is assigned to multiple buildings, the absence counts for both buildings as it affects both. This will decrease the percentage and that is a planned result. The absences include all certified staff but do not include classified staff.
Absences Requiring a Substitute & Fill Rate
Staff absences in this chart include only those that require a substitute. The staff fill rate is calculated by the number of staff absences requiring a substitute and the number of staff absences filled by a substitute or other school/district staff.
Quarantine Numbers by Class, Staff, and Students
The chart below shows the number of classes, staff, and students asked to quarantine due to the risk of exposure from close contact. Quarantine is different than a positive test. It is a safety precaution used by public health officials to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the community.
