My name is Michelle Fender.  I have held various classified positions in USD 497 at West Middle School, Lawrence High, and Liberty Memorial Central Middle School, where I currently work as the Computer Essentials Teacher.  I was born here in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1993.  I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Emporia State in 1997.  Several years later, I went back to school at Avila for their graduate teaching certification program to become licensed to teach Secondary Social Studies. 

  Fun fact:  I like to dance.  My favorite types of dance are Swing and Latin Ballroom.
