Meeting Changes due to COVID-19
To promote health and safety, the Monday, March 23, 2020, school board meeting will include only Consent Agenda items and one New Business item: a proposed reduction in graduation requirements for 2020 seniors.
The proposal would reduce graduation requirements from our current 23 credits to the 21 credits required by the Kansas State Department of Education. Core course requirements will not change. Elective requirements would be reduced by two. This proposal is meant to support the Class of 2020 as the district transitions to an e-learning educational delivery method because of school closures ordered by the Governor.
We invite patrons to watch the board meeting on Midco Channel 26 or via live stream at https://www.youtube.com/USD497. Video archives of meetings also may be found on YouTube.
