ENROLLMENT INFORMATION

Our classes or delivered in person at a convenient time that you select. We do offer some flexibility to accommodate certain life situations, but by signing up, you are committed to meeting in person.
If you are interested in enrolling for our next GED (August) or ESL (August), please click on the link below:
GED Enrollment Link for August 2023 SESSION - available now
Mandatory Orientation August 21st - 24th (must attend all 4 days to complete enrollment)
GED Classes will start the following week, on Monday, August 28th.

Adult Learning Center

Individuals have achieved their Kansas State High School Diplomas through GED completion for more than 40 years. Many Adult Learning Center clients further their education, achieve job promotions, and improve their employment position. You may earn your Kansas State High School diploma through successful completion of the GED test. Make that life change now through the Lawrence Adult Learning Center, a tried-and-true program.
Major programs offered through the Adult Learning Center include:
Basic Reading and Math Skills: This program will teach basic reading and math skills and strategies essential in improving the participant’s knowledge base. Identified individual learning needs will determine the skills and strategies to be covered.
GED Preparation: Math, reading, writing, social studies and science classes, vital for successful completion of the GED exam, are provided to students.English as a Second Language: This program integrates English language listening, speaking, writing and reading instruction. Fall and spring semester classes are offered.
Diploma-Completion Program

Did your class graduate without you? The Lawrence Diploma-Completion Program may be just what you are looking for to accomplish the goal of completing your high school diploma. The Lawrence Diploma-Completion Program opened August 1, 2004. It is located in the College & Career Center at 2910 Haskell Ave. The program is primarily designed to accommodate students who are 18 years of age or older and whose class has already graduated from high school.Students who enroll receive a transcript review by high school counselors to determine how many credits are needed to complete requirements to receive a high school diploma. Upon completing the necessary credits, students receive a Lawrence Free State High or Lawrence High School diploma, depending on which school they previously attended or the attendance center boundary where they currently reside. Students also receive a completed transcript and grade point average.
