Hi! My name is Lori Kemme and I’m super excited about teaching the 4th/5th class this year at Pinckney Elementary!
I’m a mid-west girl, originally from Hutchinson, KS. I moved away to Louisiana for college where I received my undergrad degree from Southeastern Louisiana University on a track/cross-country scholarship. After returning to Kansas, I found my husband, Scott, and my beloved home in Lawrence.
I have some Pinckney history as I taught mostly 4th grade at Pinckney for 6 years from 2001-2007 (during my 8 years in the district). I am filled with Panther Pride! I also received my Master’s of Education degree from Baker University during this time.
In May of 2006, I packed up my classroom to stay home with my first-born son. It was such a hard decision as I loved teaching and being at Pinckney so much! Now, over a decade later, my son, Ronan, is 14 with a younger brother, Gage, who just turned 13. Over the years, I’ve volunteered a lot, subbed a bit, and am now eager to return to leading a classroom of my own!
In my spare time, I enjoy running, reading, binge-watching a wide variety of shows, camping, hiking, and traveling. I look forward to getting to know you all!
