My name is Nicole Riley and I am the P.E. teacher at Sunflower and the head softball coach at Lawrence High. Originally I am from St. Louis, MO but have been a Lawrence resident for the last 15 years.  I played softball at the University of Kansas from 2004-2007 and completed my student teaching in 2008 at Langston Hughes and West Middle.  The 2018-2019 school year will be my 10th as a teacher for usd497.  The first 2 of those years were at Deerfield Elementary, then 7 at Lawrence High, and this will be my first year at Sunflower.  My husband and I have a 3 year old daughter and a 6 year old son (who is a 1st grader at Sunflower).  Teaching PE is my passion and I am so excited to get back to the grade levels that I love the most!
