Hello!  I'm Adam Smith. This is my sixth year here at Free State and my 18th year overall as an English, Creative Writing, and AP English Literature & Composition teacher.

I am an English teacher because I love teaching, I find words fascinating, a good book can change you, and I'm a big fan of students expressing themselves and their creativity. I'm originally from here in Lawrence, so I'm very happy to be teaching in my hometown.
