Welcome! I'm thrilled to be heading into my 10th year at Woodlawn! It is truly an honor and privilege to be here. I have over 30 years of experience working with children and families; the last 18 being for Lawrence Public Schools. This year, I'm moving solely into a teaching role, and I can't wait to teach our 4th & 5th graders!
Relationships are of critical importance to me, and I hope that we can become partners in helping our children thrive and flourish. I will do my best every day to lead with empathy, respect, and kindness.
I'm married to Randy, have a daughter, Carly, who teaches English in Olathe, and a son, Evan, who teaches Biology in Santa Barbara, California. When I'm not working, I love hanging out with my family, listening to lots of good music, taking long walks with my dog Truman, paddleboarding, being outside as much as possible, and watching KU Basketball!
It's going to be a great year!
