While many students were taking a break this summer, several of our young scholars have been working on Debate for the 2020-2021 season, with workshops hosted (online) by universities from across the country. Many of these strudents started working, quite literally, the day after their 2020 national tournament concluded!

At the University of Michigan Debate Camp:

7 Week Camp:

Serena Rupp/John Marshall, Juniors, Champions of the Top Juniors Lab

*This lab featured 24 of the top rising juniors in the country, and students were admitted to the lab based on applications which included past results, letters of recommendation from their coaches, and letters or recommendation from coaches at OTHER SCHOOLS. John and Serena are the first team from Free State to ever get accepted to the Top Juniors Lab at the 7-Week Michigan Camp - it is widely considered the best camp, featuring the best debaters, in the country.
