This is my sixth year as Gifted Education teacher here at Billy Mills Middle School, and my thirteenth year teaching in Lawrence Public Schools. Before joining the Billy Mills team, I worked at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, was a stay-at-home mom to my two amazing sons, taught middle and high school Gifted Education in another district. I then joined the Lawrence Public Schools district, and spent six years working as the Gifted Facilitator at the Elementary Schools: Prairie Park, Broken Arrow, New York, and Langston Hughes.
I am excited to continue working with the sixth, seventh, and eighth graders here at BMMS, renewing relationships with former students, building new connections, and facilitating challenging projects in my students' areas of strength and passion.
It's a great day to be a Cougar! Happy learning!
