Mrs. Davis

  • Hello! My name is Amanda Davis and I am thrilled to be teaching third grade at Deerfield again this year! It’s going to be a fun year full of learning and new adventures, and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store! I grew up just down the road from Lawrence in Baldwin City. This will be my first year teaching at Deerfield Elementary School and I am so EXCITED! I spent six years teaching seventh and eight grade journalism in Topeka and am thrilled to be back in an elementary classroom. When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my 2-year-old son Cohen and my husband Kyle. We love cooking, going downtown, trying out new restaurants, and going to KU basketball games! Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

I earned by Bachelor’s degrees in elementary education, secondary education, and mass media from Baker University. After graduating from Baker in December of 2010, I focused on teaching a few years before going back to school to work on my Master’s degree. In December of 2016, I graduated from Emporia State University with a Master’s degree in school counseling.
