    Good morning LHS!

    Mobile Hotspot Parent Permission Forms DUE Friday!

    All students who qualified for a mobile hotspot courtesy of the One Million Project survey have received an e-mail from the Librarian, Ms. Rusinak (Russ-in-ack), with an attached Parent Permission Form.  Please return completed forms to the Library by THIS Friday.  If you need a hotspot and did not have the opportunity to complete the survey, please visit the Library and/or e-mail Ms. Rusinak (Russ-in-ack) to get your name on the list as soon as possible!

    FYI Club will meet today after school in the Library Classroom to chalk sidewalks and put up posters for Suicide Prevention! Everyone is welcome to participate!

See Mrs. Hutchison in Mod 6 if you have any questions. After-school tutorials begin today, certified teachers are available to assist you in a quiet, focused study environment. Your grades are important, so seek out help now.

    The Total Equality Alliance will meet after school today to discuss upcoming events, including a homecoming tailgate, a GSA field trip to K State, and ideas for fundraising this year. Snacks will be provided. The meeting will be in Room 343, which is in the World Languages hallway in the new construction area. 

    There will be a mandatory NHS meeting in the auditorium for all returning members today right after school.  The meeting will be short and not interfere with your ability to attend practice.

    The Environmental Club will be meet today after school in Ms. Ball's room, #326 for a recycle box painting party.  Snacks will be served!  Teachers, please check your email to find out how you can get a painted box for your classroom!

    Good morning LHS!

    Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! Did you know that LHS has a total of 1,600 students and out of them 150 are Hispanic? This means that Hispanic students comprise over 9% of the total student population and are the largest minority group at LHS. This quick fact is brought to you by your LASO friends from the Latin American Student Organization that invite you to join them at Chipotle on 23rd on Tuesday Oct. 8th, come celebrate and support us!

    Good morning LHS!

    Yoga and Mindfulness will meet every Monday from 3:15 to 3:45 in Library Classroom 1. We will have easy and quick exercises to help students and staff reduce stress, tension and increase focus. Mats and other equipment are provided.

    Need help with your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)? Come to the LHS Cafeteria October 1st from 6-8pm.  Various colleges, junior colleges, and universities Financial Aid representatives will be on hand to help you and your family navigate through the process. There will also be a checklist of things that you will need to bring in order to complete your application. To sign up in advance and receive your checklist please see either Mr. Miles, or Mr. Lyster. This event is hosted by LHS AVID.

    Good morning LHS!

    Emporia State will have a representative here today during the lunch period in the cafeteria.

    If you plan on attending tonight’s Volleyball game, Glory Days pizza has donated pizza for those who sit in the student section!!

    LHS French in Chicago invites you to support us, today, between 4 and 8 p.m.  Come to Chipotle on Massachusetts Street (911 Mass.) and tell the cashier you’re supporting our cause. 33% of the proceeds will be donated to LHS French in Chicago!  Merci!

    Seniors, don't worry, don't fret, help is on the way. What help you ask? Help with your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).     The first Graffiti Magazine Open Mic poetry reading of the year will be held in the library at 2:45 PM on Wednesday.  Students are encouraged to read original works of poetry and prose or read their favorites by other writers.  If you'd like to just sit and listen, that's great to.  Please join us!

    Good morning LHS!

    STAFF: There have been extra staff parking spaces added in the North lot in the row behind the district vans.

    Activity Tickets will be available to pick up during lunch TODAY in the Rotunda. Activity tickets allow you to attend all home games for free.  All Students involved in KSHAA sponsored activities may pick up their activity tickets in the rotunda, it has already been added to your bill.  If you pick up an Activity ticket today the activity fee will be added to your school bill.  

    Film Club will hold its first meeting this afternoon after school in Mr. Saltz's Room, Room 125. Everyone is invited to come by for food, drinks and a shared love of filmmaking!
