    Good morning LHS!

If you are going to go out for summer weights, submit your registration form and fee to the athletic office before the last day of school. A signed registration form is required to participate in weights.

There will be an athletic signing today right after school in the Library for senior basketball players Clarence King, Bryant Graham, Savonni Shazor, and Trey Quartlebaum. You’re invited to join these seniors and their parents for the event.

Students: if you are attempting to view your schedules for next year, what you are seeing in PowerSchool is in no way, shape, or form correct.  We are attempting to get tech support from PowerSchool, but we cannot guarantee that this will happen before school begins next year.  If you would like to make a change to your requests, email your counselor with the choices you would like to drop AND add.  DO NOT email about hours or teachers.

As a friendly reminder, please come to student services where social workers, counselors, and the school psychologist are always available for anything you may need.

    Good morning LHS!

Join us in congratulating Jo Huntsinger, who was given the Allen Press Distinguished Teaching Award at last night’s Senior Awards & Scholarships night. Jo, this award is well-earned and deserved!  Over $114,000 in local scholarships were given to LHS seniors last night.  College & university scholarships for academics and athletics are in addition to the scholarships awarded tonight.  It was truly an amazing night to see the wider LHS community honor our graduates.

A HUGE shout out and thank you to ALL the students who sent encouraging and thoughtful messages to teachers for National Teacher Day.  Your kind words are greatly appreciated and demonstrated that the HEART OF A LION does lie within us all.  Thank you again.

For anyone wishing to participate in cross country this fall, please attend a short meeting right after school Wednesday May 15th in the library.  Come learn about opportunities to improve this summer!
