Welcome Bulldogs!! 

I am in my 15th year of teaching, and 10th year at SWMS.  I love reading, watch TV series and theater. I love stories told in many forms.  All three of my children have attended Lawrence public schools from kindergarten through their senior year. 

I'm excited to teach Language Arts in 7th grade.  The KEY to a successful year for us all is COMMUNICATION.  I will post all assignments and materials in Google Classroom.  All grades will be posted in PowerSchool.  Please encourage your student to email me anytime, lhefty@usd497.org
