Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Nicholas Schultz, and I am very excited to be back with the River Hawks’ school and community! This is my fourth year at Woodlawn. Previously, I taught for ten years in Seattle, WA in a combined 4th and 5th grade classroom. Before that, I taught in South Dakota on the Rosebud Reservation for two years and five years in Wisconsin. I earned my bachelor’s degree in education, with a minor in mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. After that, I obtained a master’s degree in technology in education from Lesley University.
I spend some of my time biking, hiking, camping and playing sports, but most of my time is spent with my family – biking, hiking, camping, exploring, or cooking. My wife is a plant scientist at KU and I have two kids, both in third grade. We also have a 15 year old border collie that keeps us playing frisbee outside.
