Mrs. Mena Hill
Hello, Folks! My name is Mena Hill. I am in my second year serving as the Instructional Learning Coach at Sunset Hill and Woodlawn Elementary Schools. I am an educator, wife, and mother hailing from the great state of Colorado. After staying home with my two children for six years, I went back to school to complete my bachelor's degree in counseling, then going on to receive my master’s in education. This is my eleventh year in education, with experience teaching in various schools in Colorado and Kansas with classroom teaching experience in preschool through third-grade and fifth-grade respectively.
My role as an Instructional Learning Coach is to collaborate with teachers, fellow coaches, and administrators. My goals are to help guide instructional practices, offer new and innovative ideas, and challenge the status quo. Under a personalized learning model, I seek out opportunities to increase student choice, student voice, the purposeful use of technology, and innovative ideas, which I offer to share with fellow educators.
A life-long learner at heart, I have connected with fellow leaders in education via social media and Twitter. My professional learning network is vast and global. These connections bring forth further inspiration and creativity. Follow me on Twitter, @MenaHillEdu.
I am looking forward to another successful year at Sunset Hill and Woodlawn in this role as a learning coach. To read more about my educational happenings, please check out my professional digital portfolio at menahill.weebly.com.
