Lawrence Virtual School is an exciting place to be! Your child will have daily opportunities to collaborate and learn with students across the state of Kansas. Lawrence Virtual School teachers teach live classes Monday through Thursday in the content areas of math, ELA, science, and social studies. Classes are offered in the morning and afternoon to provide families with flexibility and encourage live class attendance. In addition, elementary students meet with their teacher and learning coach (parent) twice a month to discuss progress and provide additional support as needed. Weekly interventions for math and ELA are available, as well as enrichment opportunities and Home Room to support students socially and emotionally.
You can expect your student to spend anywhere from 15 to 20 hours a week outside of live class times completing assignments and studying.
Please see sample schedules below.
