    QUAIL RUN TRACK CLUB 2018-2019 - SPRING!

    CONSENT FORM

     

    Join us for a fun SPRING in the Quail Run Track/Marathon Club!  We will be back out tracking our miles again this spring with the scanners and will award certificates when kids reach milestones of 5K, 10K, ½ marathon and full marathon!  We will also continue to “travel” around the country by using our combined group miles to reach various destinations on the way and have some friendly competitions between grades based on participation.

     

    Adult volunteers are needed!  We need help at check in, warm up, and adults to walk and run the route with us to be sure kids are together and safe. 

    This is a “come when you can” activity for all kids and adults but everyone needs to sign up using the registration form and turn it in at track club or at the school office.

    When:  Every Tuesday and Thursday morning starting at 8am rain or shine (gym if rain/lightening)

                    We usually finish at approximately 8:30.

    Starting:  Tuesday March 26th

    Ending:  Thursday May 16th

    Where:  Check in and warm up in gym; Use cross walk to McGrew Nature Trail in circular route back to cross walk.  Approximately 1.2 miles

    How:  Walk, run, skip, jog and HAVE FUN!!

    We are excited to resume Track Club for spring. The Track Club meets at 8:00 am in the gym on Tuesday and Thursdays. We will resume on Tuesday March 26th  and end Thursday May 16th  for the spring session. Third, fourth and fifth grade students may participate in track club without an adult but we do ask our students in grades K- 2 to be accompanied by an adult, at least initially, so we can determine their ability to be safe. We run or walk along the McGrew Nature Trail and most students typically finish by 8:30.

    **All adults and students must submit the consent form included in the Friday Flyer before they can participate.  If you have a signed form from the fall you do not need to complete a new one.

We are in need of volunteers to ride the lead bike, help with warm ups, check in students when they return, walk or run with the group, and be the caboose. Our biggest need is to supervise the safety of our students while they are out on the track route.  Join the fun!
