Emergency Safety Interventions
Kansas regulations require that districts develop and implement written policies to govern the use of Emergency Safety Interventions in all schools. Emergency Safety Intervention (ESI) is defined as seclusion and restraint that is used when the student presents an immediate danger to self or others. Lawrence Public School’s Board of Education adopted an ESI policy on October 28, 2013. This policy is available in the following places: BOE Policy Manual, Building Website, or Building Student Handbook.Below you will find the most recent updates to Emergency Safety Interventions.Email update information posted 2/19/16:
Wanted to notify staff that IT will be migrating the student email accounts from our older server to the new office365 server. Student mail shouldn’t be affected. We did this earlier last fall for most staff emails with little to no issues on any accounts. The only difference that will be noticed is the page they will log into for their email. Instead of going through mail.usd497.org, they will now be going through outlook.office365.com. We will change the links on the student SharePoint page so students won’t get confused trying get to the page. We will plan on doing this over the weekend and will also convert any remaining staff accounts on Monday. If you have any questions or notice any issues next week, please don’t hesitate to email Jeremy Bloom or call Help Desk at EXT 4357.Our School Report Card can be found at the following link through The Kansas Department of Education's website.
