I am the Special Education Facilitator for Free State High School and Lawrence High School. I was a special education teacher for 7 years, and a school psychologist for 15 years prior to moving into my current position. My main role as a facilitator is to work with staff, families, and students to ensure students have the most appropriate education available to them by providing staff training and problem-solving with teams. I work with school staff to determine students’ current levels in many different areas, including academics, behavior, emotional health, and other skills needed to be successful in school.
Outside of school, I am involved in my county 4-H program as a community leader at the club level, and the district 4-H professional development committee, making recommendations for 4-H programming across the Meadowlark 4-H district. I enjoy quilting, gardening, and reading to relax.
