Coach Naughton grew up in West Des Moines, Iowa. He attended West Des Moines Dowling Catholic High School were he played football and wrestled for the Maroons. Coach Naughton continued his education at the University of Kansas. Where he graduated with a Education degree. While at KU, Coach Naughton was an member of the student athletic training staff, working with Softball, Baseball, Football, Swimming and Diving teams. Coach Naughton received his Masters in Education of Technology from Mid-American Nazerene. Coach Naughton is the head wrestling coach at Lawrence High School.
