Ms. Amanda Frederick
I teach Advanced English 10, American Literature 1, American Literature 2, and Comparative Cultural Narratives at Lawrence Free State High School. After school, I sponsor Animation Club (Cartoon Club and Anime Club). I actually grew up in Lawrence, having attended the schools back when the only things surrounding Free State were empty lots and cornfields! While attending the University of Kansas, I spent a summer studying abroad in England and Scotland. I received my degree in Secondary English Education from the KU School of Education. I completed my Master's degree with a focus in teaching Reading. I love to travel; I have visited all 50 states. Besides traveling, I enjoy shopping, reading, writing, listening to podcasts, playing with my cats, playing video games, and spending time with my family.

Cartoon Club/Anime Club meets after school on Tuesdays in my classroom until 4:00 (later if we are watching a movie).
