Monte Westfall

Director of Virtual Education

Monte Westfall is excited to be starting his fourth year as part of the family at LVS (Lawrence Virtual School). He comes to LVS with a variety of experiences in both educational and business settings. A former band instructor, Monte also served as the Performing Arts Coordinator for both the Shawnee Mission and Blue Valley School Districts. He is also a former restaurant franchise owner. Additionally, he is a mentor trainer and teacher mentor, having completed over two years of education with the New Teacher Center Project.

Monte has an undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas in Music Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Kansas and is currently working on his district leadership license from Fort Hays State University. He has served in both urban and suburban settings.

Monte is enthusiastic to share in all that is going on at LVS and is committed to seeing students, teachers, and families continue to grow. By meeting the individual needs of each student, we ensure the success and continued prosperity of our LVS community.
