I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, and have lived most of my adult life in Northern California.  I earned my Bachelor of Science from Western Kentucky University in Elementary/Special Education and completed my master’s degree in Educational Leadership at California State Hayward.

 

I joined the LVS staff in 2010, bringing over 20 years of experience.  Before coming to LVS, I worked as a Reading Coach for Lawrence Public Schools for six years.  During my time in California, I held a variety of positions including teaching kindergarten, special education, Reading Recovery, and Title 1 reading.   I was also the Elementary Language Arts Coordinator for Ann Arbor Public Schools, during the four years I lived there.

 

I am married and have four children.  I am an avid reader, love KU basketball, and enjoy spending quality time with family and friends.
