Ms. Jennifer Pugsley

High School Music and FACS

I grew up in a small town in southern Johnson County, Kansas. Both of my parents were educators for 30 years, and I grew up in the public school system. I attended Johnson County Community College for my Associates of Arts degree. I received my Bachelors in Music Education from Baker University and my Masters of Arts in Education from Baker University in May 2014. I received my Masters of Science of Education Administration from the University of Kansas in May 2020.

This is my 16th year of teaching, where I spent the first four years in the Emporia school district working at a local charter school in a one-to-one K-8 program, Virtual and Project Based Learning Environment. This is my eleventh year at LVS working at the High School Academy. I am currently teaching Music and Family Consumer Science classes as well as Critical Thinking Study Skills and College Career Readiness. I also co-sponsor AMP Club, Game Club, GSA, eSports, and the Theater Club, which includes the Thespian Troupe and Improv Group, as well as Coffee House Night, plus serve on my school committees.

I am passionate about what we do here at LVS, and I am happy to be here helping students navigate this virtual world!
