I am so grateful that we moved to Lawrence in 1989.  I am very blessed and proud to call Lawrence my home.  I have been married 17 years and I have two children that both graduated from LHS.   In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, photography, scrapbooking, flower arranging, and snuggling with my cat!

I received my Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Kansas University and my Masters of Social Work Degree from Washburn University.  Prior to becoming employed with the school district, I worked in child welfare for 12 years.   I started my career with the district as the Transition Coordinator at C-Tran and now I am the Transition Coordinator here at LHS.  I am one of those lucky people that gets to say that I truly love my job.  It provides me with the opportunity to talk to students about their dreams for their future.  We focus on their  goals for after high school,  develop a plan to meet those goals, and then we all work together to carry out those plans.  It’s extremely rewarding.

As always, it’s a great day to be a lion.
