Thank you for your interest in our school!  I am proud to be Schwegler's Principal.  The 2021-2022 school year marks my 15th year as Principal of Schwegler. My background as an elementary school educator also includes two years as an Assistant Principal and six years as teacher in Topeka, USD 501.  I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, a master's degree in Educational Administration, and a doctorate in Educational Policy and Leadership all from the University of Kansas.  In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my family including my wife and seven children (4 girls and 3 boys).  This year we will have 2 children (1st and 4th) attending Schwegler while our two oldest attend Lawrence High School and two others attend Billy Mills Middle School.  I am looking forward to another fantastic year as we begin our 2nd year as an AVID elementary school.  Let's Go Cubs!
