I see the opportunity to educate children at home as a wonderful experience and a blessing to families.  I bring to Lawrence Virtual School eight years of classroom experience, as well as ten years of home-educating my own children.   I taught my own children, first through eighth grade, here at LVS.

 

I hold a Bachelor of Education degree from Augustana College and a master’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado. I have elementary certification and a certificate as a reading specialist from Fort Hays State University. 

 

When not working with our Lawrence Virtual School families, I enjoy spending time with my family’s activities and playing my trumpet in several local bands.  I live in Eudora, KS, with my husband. My other title given to me by my elder daughter is that of "Grandma" to three beautiful grandchildren, and I enjoy watching my younger daughter as she develops her career in the engineering world.

 

This is my seventeenth year as a teacher here at LVS.  I enjoy seeing the growth and changes that happen throughout the year with the students and families with whom I work. I am so glad you are part of our LVS family!
