CI3T
All elementary schools in our district have been busy kicking off their CI3T (Comprehensive, Integrated, Three-tiered) plans with staff and students to meet the social, academic and behavioral needs of all students. Our CI3T leadership team (which included the principal, teachers, and a district representative) carefully designed this plan with feedback from all adults at our school to thoughtfully address our goals for students: All of the Broken Arrow Community including administrator, staff, parents and students will work together to design and implement a variety of programs that support the specific academic, behavioral and social needs of students served. A strong component of this plan is PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports) and you will notice we, along with all other elementary schools, will be handing out Eagle Excellence tickets to our students as they meet our school expectations - Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Present Best Effort. We will use a variety of tools and screeners to assist us as we work to meet the social, academic, and behavioral needs of all the students in our school. Also, as part of our CI3T plan, we will be teaching social skills with a new resource titled, Positive Action. This resource will assist us as we support your child's social development by focusing on character education. Screening, whether for reading, math, behavior, vision or hearing allows us to meet students' need with a proactive response as early as possible. We look forward to partnering with you in educating your child.
