I have been a teacher for over 15 years, and I love it!  I came to teaching a little late in life after working several years in the non-profit field.  I have a BA in Psychology and a Master's of Human Relations in addition to being certified to teach K-6th grade.  In 2011, I came to work at New York Elementary and found my home away from home as a New York Knight.  

When I am not at New York Elementary, I am usually enjoying our wonderful town of Lawrence with my family.  I have 2 sons who have taught me all about sports, superheros, and science fiction.  We also have a mixed breed dog named Roxie and a cat named Max.  

One of my biggest passions in life is reading, and I hope to cultivate a love of reading in all my students.
