  • We Are Off and Running!

Posted by Vicki Case on 9/18/2014 4:30:00 PM
Calendar We are now off and running with the 2014-2015 school year!  We have accomplished our first audit day with one more to go!  It's hard to believe that we are already in the fifth week of school.  Hopefully you and your student have started to settle into a "groove" and school is going well.
What if it is not going like you had planned?  First of all, don't give up!  If this is your first year with LVS, it takes time to find the best schedule, to understand your child's style of learning, and how to balance the many hats that a parent has each day.  Give yourself time, and keep trying.  If you are a veteran LVS family, you may find that your year is different than it was last year.  After schooling my own children with LVS for the past eight years, I found that every year was just a bit different and the needs of my children were different each year.  Be willing to flex and find what works best for you and your family.
If you need ideas for your school at home, make sure to reach out to your Education Specialist and Homeroom Teachers.  They are a wealth of information and are more than willing to work with you to brainstorm ideas on how to make it all work.
Just know this...you can do it!  Keep up this awesome work you are doing with your child--it is well worth it!
