This is my 4th year at Woodlawn Elementary and my 15th year teaching in Lawrence. I grew up in Lawrence and attended Lawrence Public Schools until my graduation from Free State in 2000.  I attended Grinnell College in Iowa and received my Masters in Education from Baker University. My husband and I moved back to Lawrence to raise our family of 3 daughters. I am passionate about teaching reading and work hard to stay current on the latest research to address struggling readers' needs.  I am excited about being a Riverhawk again this year and look forward to working with students across all grade levels.
